How to get a Death Knight on World of Warcraft?

My brother has the level 55 character and Wrath of the Lich King, but we can’t seem to figure out how to get him a Death Knight. Any ideas/suggestions?

Like you said, you need to be level 55 to unlock the Death Knight. After you get to level 55, all you have to do is go into the character creation page to make a new character and each race should have a death knight class option. If it’s not appearing, you might have to contact Blizzard. They might have you reinstall WOTL, which is a pain in the @ss, but they might also have a better fix.

If you JUST dinged 55, it might take a half hour/hour for it to register and unlock.

I’m lvl 68 Drae Death Knight and looking for some good weapons better than the two hander sword I got at 55.

The very best and easiest two hander at your level would probably be Axe of Frozen Death, from the group quest "Last Rites" in Borean Tundra. http://www.wowhead.com/quest=12019

Significantly less awesome stat and dps wise than the Northrend axe but still better than yours and still in Outlands are:
The Ring of Blood series of group quests in Nagrand, has Honed Voidaxe for a final reward.
If you do OL instances, Talon King Ikiss in Sethekk Halls drops an awesome axe with three sockets in it, and Warbringer O’mrogg drops a 2h mace in Shattered Halls.

what are the best talent specs to use for a death knight in wow?

Alright so I just made my first death knight. I just wanna know a good spec for tanking and another for dps. Really I have experience in both (lvl 76 bloodelf pally and lvl 80 troll rogue). So give me a reason why with your answer and also I heard unholy was good for dps if it is explain y.

TANKING
For dungeon 5-man tanking, choose Unholy because it has the best talents for AoE tanking plus mitigation cooldowns.

For raid tanking, choose Frost because it has the best mitigation cooldowns for hard-hitting melee fights. For the caster bosses, switch to Blood because it has an anti-magic field and self-healing talents which are crucial since spells ignore defense and armor.

DPS
For dungeon 5-man and mob farming DPS, choose Unholy because it has the best AoE spells. Mobs with high armor also fall easiest against Unholy because they put out the highest magic-based damage.

For PvP, choose Frost because it has the most powerful single target abilities, which is perfect for the 1v1 fights in both battlegrounds and arena. It also churns out a lot of elemental damage which bypasses armor mitigation.

Note: Advice above applicable before Cataclysm. Because in the new expansion, Blood will become the dedicated tanking spec while DPS will be split between Frost and Unholy depending on your playstyle.

The fearsome death knight, World of Warcrafts first Hero class, is not your average adventurer seeking to prove his or her worth on Azeroths fields of battle. Unlocking Death Knights:
Simply have a character of at least level 55 on the World of Warcraft account you play, and you will be able to create a new level-55 death knight of any race (if on a PvP realm, the death knight must be the same faction as your existing character). Upon entering the world, your neophyte death knight will undertake a series of quests designed to teach you your new abilities. You will be able to create one death knight per realm, per account.
