Well Blizzard has changed it you dont need to be lvl 80 anymore to unlock a Death Knight. All you need is the expansion, and a lvl55 character, and you can make a Death Knight-They Took out the lvl80 chain quest

Ok listen you retarded dipshits.
To unlock the DK class you ONLY, and by that i mean ONLY AND NOTHING ELSE, get a character to lvl 55. After that, you will be able to create a Death knight, and this character will start at lvl 55 when created, it will also have a lvl 30, 40% mount. When you create a DK, none of your other characters are replaced or something like that, you have your 55+ char and the ability to create a dk, no char disappears.

guys i dunno what i should do, i have a lvl 62 NE hunter thats my highest level…lol, but anyway, i like horde a lil better, i have a lvl 52 undead warrior, soooo i am wondering if i should make a human deathknight, or Blood Elf Deathknight, somebody please respond.
P.S. i looked up human deathknights and BE deathknights and it looks like human have more advantages. but i dunno. =)

no man, you get a Death Knite once you get your main to level 80, then you have to do a quest chain which will then let you make a deathknite. Oh, and you can only make one Death Knite per account.

1. all you need to do is get a char to lvl 55+ and u unlock the death knight class
2. your char does become a DK u have 2 make a whole new character
and 3. you can only have 1 i repreat ONE!!!! DK per realm per account!!!

i think starting off at level 55 is extremely stupid. Make them start off at level 1, learn the class and get to 70, too many people have proved that getting to level 70 is a joke and not all that difficult. By starting off at level 1, the player is forced to learn how to use each and every ability and earn their armor instead of just being given it. I mean think of it this way a person 1st char ever get to 55, here u go automatic another character lvl 55…stupid

“a deathknight class” there should be 2 classes for casters and the rest. Becuz a clothy learning to wield a 2h sword/axe is kinda rediculous, but maybe there is sum other way. Also i hope they make Pvp more WoW-like. Like not only you should be able to use Siege weapons on Battlefields but you can fire siege when your raiding main cities: Org, SW.
