Probably the best game like wow online for FREE is Runes of Magic which can be played at http://runesofmagic.com. There are so many free and P2P rpg games out I’d be here for ages listing them all. Try a site like http://gameslikewow.com for a good idea of what’s out there…

theres a game called sherwood dungeon and it is really good you dont need an account to play you create a night a death knight a barabarian and more
and its not boring its 3d browser it just requires shockwave player

Runescape is not at all like world of warcraft! What’s wrong with you people!? First the character navigation is a total pain in the ass compared to WoW, second (even though WoW graphics are not THAT good) runescape graphics suck big time! That’s all comapred to WoW of course. So please, quit making people believe runescape is similar in playing to WoW. Geesh!

Maplestory is very fun, I had played it for about a year and a half, but I quit not too long ago, I’m currently playing Perfect World, its a great game, the download takes FOREVER but its definitely worth it, I played WoW for 2 months and its very similar in gameplay and such. I would recommend either … Although Runescape isnt one of my favs… I played it for a while, who knows how long? about a summer I suppose, I had a lv 65 but I quit because I had been hacked multiple times. And its boring without a membership…

Runescape is a free online game that requires no downloads, however you need Java for it to work, and if you want better game play, you have to pay a slight membership fee each month.

Fiesta is a free online game that requires a pretty long download, depending on the speed of your computer, but it has better graphics and game play, hence it has a download. You need not to pay any money unless you want some extra bonuses or special customizations, which you buy SparkCash with real money then use the SparkCash to buy the specialties. You need an account on the main site though, and to keep the browser opened during the download.

Ether Saga Online is also a free online game that requires a download as well. The graphics are pretty much the same as Fiesta and better than Runescape. However the game play may be slightly worse than Fiesta depending on your opinion. As far as I know, there is no required fee to pay for anything. You need an account on the main site though.

zOMG! is a free online game with no downloads, but if you want better game play and to be able to save your progress, you will want an account on Gaia Online. The graphics however, are worse then Fiesta and Ether Saga Online. There is no fee to pay for anything.

Perfect World is also a free online game that requires a download. The graphics look well, maybe similar to World of Warcraft, but I cannot say that for sure because I have never tried it yet, but I have seen some screen shots on the main site. Since it was created by the same people by Ether Saga Online, there is most likely no fee to pay.

Maple Story is another free online game you can try. I think it requires a download, but I have never played it, so there's not much I can say about it.

Runes of Magic is yet another free online game. I never tried it, so I don't yield a lot of information about it, sorry.

Secret of the Solstice is another free online game that may require a download. It is created by the same people as Fiesta, but the graphics are much worse as I have seen from the screen shots, though I cannot say for sure for I never tried it. Like Fiesta, you need an account on the main site.
