Is World of Warcraft worth it?
I need some imput from people that play World of Warcraft. I heard its a lot of money, but also a lot of fun. Is it addicting, fun, etc? I’m open to all opinions, good and bad.
I got the demo in the mail and loaded it for the free trial. And I spent maybe 3 hours with it trying to learn all the ropes. It is definately a game with many levels of complexity and things you have to learn, so it will take patience, although you can go out and buy the spoilers or special codes Ifind them on internet too) to speed your progress.
There are some games like this that I really like, i.e. where it may take weeks to progress through the many levels. For example, I am a fan of Myst which is fantasy/adventure and puzzle solving and have worked through most of their many versions and levels and was entertained.
As for World of Warcraft, however, it was just not for me. You have to be into that genre of fighting and gouls and monsters and one-on-one challenges. If you like trying to become the biggest bad-a$$ in the region so you can beat on anyone and everything around you, then you will like World of Warcraft. If you’ve already had enough of that type of gameplay, then don’t waste your time with WOW. You will invest a lot of it just becoming proficient at this particular game and may not find it satisfying compared to other games.

Definitely worth it, you get alot of features by joining. Making new friends, adventuring, leveling etc etc. Be sure to check yourself, head to your nearest variety store (Target, Walmart, K-Mart) for free trials of the game for around $2 to try it out for yourself.

It is very addictive.
The game itself is very good and the free world sense is great. For example, the ability to jump, swim, and in cases fly or ride mounts adds to the gameplay.
The servers are good, so as long as your computer can handle it, the game will run smoothly and well.
My advice is to download the trial. Theres nothing to lose and its a free way to deciding if you want to go for it or not.

You hear about people getting addicted and you laugh. But it really does kinda suck to know people who get addicted to it. A lot of my friends have been addicted to it. They would sit there day in and day out and do nothing and talk about nothing and think about nothing but playing WoW.
It sucked up 99% of their life.
I’ve known dudes who wouldn’t get up to have dinner with their family or go outside for ten minutes for fresh air because the videogame was more important to them.
They were boring to hang out with and they wont go anywhere that isnt within 500 feet of a computer installed with WoW.
It costs time and money. Tons of time and money.
My friends who still play, are constantly whining about their accounts being stolen and how easy it it for them to get stolen.
Finally, most of the servers are so old that theres always someone better than you.
As for the new servers, theres still always someone better than you because they either use bots or are glued to the screen 24/7 (or are farming).
If you find yourself getting addicted to other multiplayer games, the you shouldn’t play WoW.
People have died over WoW.
Pathetic.

It’s easy to learn and it’s a way to pass time.
It has bugs that have been in the game for years and still haven’t been fixed, the programmers don’t care. It’s addicting.
The game is always changing. You could come to like a certain part of the game, and then one day that part of the game will be gone. But there will be new things that you can HOPE are just as fun.

To be honest I have no idea. Its something I wouldn’t do but I am answering this because my boyfriend plays it all the time and when I was crying and really sad, I wanted to call him but he said no because his friends needed him, plus it casts a lot. Its going to mess up your love life. Trust me on this. So no its not worth it..

If you enjoy MMORPGs then yes, this game is worth it. It’s not the same feeling as it was when it first came out but it’s still fun. WoW doesn’t "ruin lives" at all. The majority of WoW players are casuals and Blizzard has reflected this by making it much easier to get epic gear. You do not have to invest as much time to be good now. Hardcore players with no lives are the minority.

Its not really that expensive, once you buy the game, you pay 50 cents+tax every day (you pay once a month of 15$). Yes it is really fun and addicting. I think you should get World of Warcraft.

1st) it will NOT ruin anything.
2nd) 1000 youtube videos show addicts, well there are 12 MILLION people playing it.

4th) you can play it for 30 mins a day or 24 hours, doesn’t make a difrance…
5th) if you find yourself useing a computer to check out wow things, you ARN’T addicted, you have just found something worth your time.
6th) if you have a crappy pc dont worrie, put the video settings to the lowest thing and it will be ok.
7th) there isn’t a 7th for me, but im sure there is.

At my local game store the prepaid membership is about
£18.50 for 60 days and the games are either £5 or £10
so I am going to start my membership when the new
expansion comes out.If you haven’t played before then
I would recommend the 10 day trial
