Whats the difference if i buy World of Warcraft online or at the store?

like if i get the disk, as opposed to on the website where i wont get it on the disk. what are the pros & cons of both?

there is a couple differences, just some of the ones at the store are exclusive and come with special stuff inside, or special stuff you can load into the game and into you account. They are both the same amount of money, the ones at the stores are usually the default ones, nothing special in it. I would buy it at the store, just in case you have a bug in your computer, they can track your credit card numbers and steal your identity, even if you have softwear, most of them are undetected by the highest ranking and newest Technology. Good luck

You get a key along with a copy of the client with the retail copies. You also have the option of buing the limited edition versions, which are much larger boxes and include several special additions, like books, CDs, and exclusive in-game pets. (You can also buy these later and put in the key to add the special edition info to your account).

The other main bonus to buying retail is that you can buy the Battle Chest, which includes the original game + Burning Crusade expansion for $35 or so vs $50 ($20 for WoW and $30 for Bunrning Crusade) if buying the keys separately.

The client itself, though, is free to download; they even provide a link to it in account management. It just takes a while to download vs. having the files on a CD to install. The keys are applied to your account whether you get them via purchasing online or using the keys included in the retail purchase.
