World of Warcraft free server is it legit?
I was surfing the internet and found a free world of warcraft server do you guys think it is a legit server? Do they update or add all the things the real game has?
First of all, it isn’t actually a World of Warcraft server. It’s only a server emulator. It uses stolen data to create an environment exactly like (or not alike, depending on what the administrator does with it) the real game. You create an account with the server and it works. Many online games have server emulators like this, and all are illegal. However, WoW server emulators are a special case, because Blizzard is the ONLY company ever to win court cases against server emulator administrators. If you have a real WoW account, it will be deleted if you are caught. Chances are, you won’t be caught, but you can never be sure. If you are caught, you will also never be able to CREATE an official account. But just so you know, you won’t get any viruses, as long as you make sure you only download patches from fourth-party websites. (party one: you, party two: Blizzard, party three: the server emulator) Also, server emulators are often buggy and lag, and few have enough people on them to give any kind of real multiplayer experience. If you want the real thing, pay for it. I, however, am content with Oblivion.

It's a private server huh?… i wouldn't try it because it's not real WoW and it might have viruses.

Been playing WoW for years. And one thing I know about Blizzard is they love getting you addicted so they can take your money. They are money hungry freaks, lol. They would NEVER have a server that wasn't making them money. And they would NEVER allow someone to do this, they would take them to court and imprison them within seconds. It's probably a scam, they probably ask for your password and such. I wouldn't trust it if I were you.

Blizzard is NOT the only corporation to win cases over illegal servers.
Many private Lineage II servers and users (roughly 50,000 users in total) were tracked down by the FBI and severely fined back in 2006.
If you are going to proceed to apply to the said free server, I would proceed with caution.

This is probably a private server.
Almost always, the private servers have the same stuff as the retail version of WoW. Sometimes the private servers have added new custom made things. Those things have really nice stats. And to get those you need Voting Points.

not legit. prob. bogged down with trojans… and there is not guarentee it will stay up for as lon as you wanna play it soo all the long hours and hard work would be for nothing. :/ best bet is just do it the legit way
