Can I return or exchange an open World of Warcraft Battle Chest to Wal-Mart?
I just bought the WoW Battle Chest and it was opened. I took it home and it was missing the activation codes for the game and I was wondering if I can return it or exchange it. All of their world of warcraft boxes are opened and most likely tampered with. I still have the receipt too.
walmart has become sticlers, and each walmart has there own rules
the one in my town, says NO WAY to your issue, but if i got 20 mins away, theres wil say sure, exchange only for same product.
best thing for WOW is to contact Blizzard via phone or email.
talk to them tell them u bought this game.
you wil probably have to show them your receipt and serial off outside box etc. they wil be able to look at the cd keys that were supposed to go to that box. and go from there.

If it was open, they can exchange it, but they will open the package. They did it to me when I bought Age of Conan, it wouldn't work on my computer and I wanted to return it but it was opened so they'd only exchange it, then the woman used scissors to take off all the packaging and she ruined it, cut up the plastic that holds the picture in place and didn't understand why I was mad about it.

there should be no problem exchanging it for another of the same game as far as im aware of though..i dont think you can bring back video games and ask for the money (or gift card) back….this is an old rule that dates back at the time of the original ninetendo games (or older) the reason being that every time a person didnt like a game they would try to return it ,lol i was one of those people.anyways walmart started an exact exchange policy on video games for that reason …
