World of Warcraft – Bugged hunter pet ability, 600+ dps pet
ATTENTION: This bug was just hotfixed!
First encountered on the beta-testing realms for The Burning Crusade, and later on the Public Test Realms, this little bug made it into the live patch that are on the realms today.
It involves a certain hunter pet who has a certain attack, not telling you! This attack lacks a cooldown, is marked as instant and can be spammed with a macro for massive DPS output, if it hits.
Against equal level targets do this pet it works very well, but anything higher than 48 or 49 and it will resist too many of these attacks. If you have one of these at 60 – congratulations, you will be the one hunter who makes warlocks cry, if you have one of these in a 40-49 battleground – again, congratulations, but beware of possible bans in your near future by using this pet.
Some examples of this bug in action are shown here. In the first clip I only had a simple /cast Poison Spit macro, in the following clips I have a macro that repeats it six times, for an instant attack.
This was just a test to see if it worked, and I promised to make a video of it for some folks. Now that the bug is fixed it is but a fond memory. Oh well, back to alternating between the 1.0 speed Broken Tooth and a Son of Hakkar for pets!
