World of warcraft should i be druid or paladin?

In world of warcraft should i be a druid or a paladin? I am looking to play arena pvp and battlegrounds…also which is better for solo questing?
Thanks best answer gets 10 points.

Druids are flexible for any type of play that fits your style of playing. They can heal, tank or dps. It all depends on what you want to do. I mean duel specs are coming out soon so a druid sounds fine for pvp.

Paladins are great as well. I played a paladin and paladins get some level of respect in pvp. Like druids, they can heal, tank and dps. However the difference is, they wear plate. It could mean higher repair bills.

Personally, I like paladins better. I respect druids and all but paladins take the cake. They are also good for soloing (sick melee damage, with a bubble then heal is a life saver). And besides, who doesn't want a holy knight in shiny kick ass armor then a tree lover.

Solo questing- Feral druid will most likely be the quickest, providing you get to 20 quickly (As till 20 you'll be stuck with bear form)

Top end arena-Holy and Retribution Paladins are probably doing better in this department then druids right now, however Feral druids hurt alot ¬_¬

Another advantage of Druid is you can perform all 4 rolls, Caster DPS, Healer, Physical DPS, Tank. Whereas a paladin can only perform 3. For utility i'd say leveling a druid is more rewarding as if you don't like one playstyle, switch to another of the 4.

There is no answer. It's your personal choice. They each have pros and cons, and what's best for you may not be best for me.

Ret Paladins are still slightly OP'd, but they are EVERYWHERE, and a well played Druid is one of the most formidable opponents in the game.

In the end, only you can decide.

You specifically mentioned arena and battlegrounds. I'm not sure either druid or paladin is significantly better than the other for solo questing. I would say that I prefer a druid in battlegrounds. They have a much wider variety of heals that they can use, they have entangling roots to hold flag runners and one that activates when hit to stop rogue attacks. They have a number of 'stun' spells as well which can stop someone fleeing or prevent someone from chasing you. Similar to paladins, they have an ability to shake off limitations to movement.

I would suggest druid for those reasons given what you're interested in. If you're not, particular, btw, I'd select horde over alliance. Horde dominates battle grounds and pvp, imho. And I have definitely played both sides. Probably related to new players 90% of the time choose Alliance and their first pvp/bg experience is from the Alliance side.

    Good luck!

if you really want to do battlegrounds i would go with druid because in warsong gultch your going to be the flag carrier and trust me it will be easy to capture the flag.
i would recommend paladins only if you want to deal alot of damage and possibly be one of the top players in a bg

however for arena i would say paladin.

either way go retribution pally and feral druid.

In regards to leveling, the paladin is known to be one of the slowest classes to level because they cannot do massive damage in a matter of a few seconds like that of a caster, but they can survive a battle for quite some period of time. A feral druid does level faster than the other talent trees a druid has so if you go druid spec feral to level quickly.

In regards to arena, as far as I know having a Holy Paladin teamed up with some melee and casters make for an impressive team. The Pally can heal fairly quickly and because they wear plate they can sustain some damage without dying to quickly.

It is a personnal preference, if you have the time to level a Paladin GO FOR IT! If you would like to hit level 80 the fastest way possible go with Druids. Druids are more versatile than palladins too.

I’ve been inactive for several months but I’ll be comming back to the game in the next week or so. I’ve been pondering whether to roll a druid or a paladin, and I think i’ll end up going for the druid because I’ve already played around with a few low level paladins up to as high as 40 something but only scratched the surface on druids. Well that and that druids do have an extra roll (boomkins) over paladins, who knows… one day I might want to play one although at the moment I think I’ll stick to feral.
