I quit my World of Warcraft account. Is there anyway I can get my characters back from that old acccout now?
I quit playing on my account last year and I want to start again, but I want my old toons..Can I get it back?
Yes!
Once time I deleted my main character and quite the game.
Some 3-4 months later I reactivated my account and even was able to get my character back after being deleted. (I had to officially file it as an accidental deletion even though they knew it was not an accident.)
All you need to do is reactivate the account by logging onto the main WoW webpage and go to the “Manage Account” tab. Log back in with your password and account name, and set up a subscription to pay again.
From there, there may be a small delay in when you can play based on how you decide to pay for the play time. I use Paypal, where I have a confirmed account, so it’s usually pretty quick. I think using a game card or credit card is nearly instant.

I think as soon as you login to your old account and pay the monthly fee, you should get your character back. Blizzard doesn’t delete any characters due to not playing.

When I started playing again, all I had to do was log on to the website with my old account info and pay for my subscription. When I logged in to the game, all my characters were waiting just as I had left them. Well, their talents had been wiped due to resets with some recent game patches, but otherwise they are all intact.
The only way you wont be able to get them back is if you deleted your characters when you quit playing last year. As long as you simply stopped paying for the account you are good to go.

unless you deleted your account, it should still be there. Your old character(s) will still be available once you reactivate your account.
