think of building a bridge or an air strip.and you have people shooting at you.they have guns you have hammers.

It’s pretty dangerous, any combat field job is dangerous. With combat engineer you will be working with explosives, setting charges, building bridges. There is also route clearance engineers who go ahead of convoys or on patrols of MSRs to sweep for IEDs.
